Earlier this week, I went on our Instagram and asked for potential weights for the upcoming season. That generated quite the response. At the same time, registration for the Super 32 and Super 32 Early Entry tournaments have opened and plenty of Virginia high schooler’s have signed up for both tournaments.
So, I am going to post some of the information I’ve received in two different sections. One is for the information I’ve gathered on my own and the other is from tournament registration.
The tournament registration can still be imperfect. For those that have already registered directly for the Super 32, many wrestlers in Virginia (and nationwide) are registered at the lowest weight possible. So low that they probably won’t see that weight during the high school season. On the other hand, it appears that some are not cutting as much for the Super 32 Early Entry tournaments (NC/VA).
Remember, we are very early in the process, so there is some growing that could take place between now and November/December. Wrestlers might have a target weight that seems doable in August, but not so much, a couple of months down the road - so these are all subject to change.
For brevity’s sake, at this point, I will generally just list the notable changes I’ve received. If I don’t have any info or if someone told me they are staying at their 2025-26 weight, I probably won’t list it below.
Please let me know if there are some changes I’ve either omitted or haven’t heard about yet!
106 lbs
Another piece of good information I look for around this time of year is where freshmen are headed for high school. Especially in large areas with many high school options. With that being said, it looks like Junior Duals team member Morrison Motley will attend Grassfield and wrestle 106.
