Justin Jones Discusses Bloomsburg Commitment

Saturday afternoon, the top remaining uncommitted senior in the state made his college plans known as Orange County’s Justin Jones announced he has committed to wrestle at Bloomsburg University. Jones was ranked #13 overall in the Class of 2025 by VaWrestle.

Bloomsburg has been a popular spot for Virginia wrestlers this year as Jones is the fourth native from the Commonwealth to commit to John Stutzman’s team. He’ll join Zeke Keel (Chantilly), Wyatt Bush (Grundy), and Bubba Ashley (First Colonial) in Bloomsburg’s incoming freshman class.

This year, Jones became the first three-state champion in Orange County history as he teched Varina’s Ronald Watts 17-1 in the 126 lb 4A state finals. Shortly after the state tournament, Jones took seventh at NHSCA Senior Nationals.

Jones is currently wrestling for the “5forty Brawlers” team at the NHSCA Duals. Before that event started, Jones was gracious enough with his time to discuss his forthcoming announcement. In our discussion, Jones talks about why Bloomsburg was right for him, his competition plans for the summer, getting the decision out of the way, and much more.
